Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Work within a project team to develop, enhance and support solutions of high quality for client and internal projects
- Problem-solve and think laterally as part of a team, or individually to meet the needs of the project
- In collaboration with other team members, assist in the design and development of Power BI and business intelligence solutions from both an operational perspective and an end-user perspective
- Work within project timelines and budget constraints
- Study towards Microsoft exams and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) qualification
- Design, develop and build BI solutions
- Create tools and queries to present information effectively through established visual reports, dashboards, KPI scorecards and the like
- Test, debug and troubleshoot as to improve BI systems
- Document release and deployment procedures and assist fellow developers with the writing of technical specifications
- Highlight potential opportunities and project risks to management
- Assist with project estimation (time/budget) in pre-sales opportunities
- Provide opinions, concepts, and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends in technology and human behavior
- Proactively contribute to the general work culture at Skykomish, Inc. and adhere to its coding standards
- Other related duties assigned to you by your supervisor
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline is desired
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field for this position
- Proven experience with BI tools, business analytics, databases and data models
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Adept in analytical thinking for translating, developing, publishing and scheduling data into informative visuals and reports
- Must have experience in prototyping, designing and requirement analytics
- Proficient in creating SQL queries – design, code, test, and aggregate the results to create useful information and writing technical documents on database content
- Develop, design and analyze data architecture and data warehouses
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases
- Experienced with the following:
- Azure
- C#
- CSS
- DB/DBA
- JavaScript
- Microsoft Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- .NET
- SQL
- SSRS/SSAS/SSIS
- Visual Studio
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrates appropriate work/life balance
- Must have your own device (laptop)
- Good and stable internet connection
- Has a proactive and positive attitude
